How Does Infrared Sauna Work?

The air in a traditional sauna is heated, and the hot air heats your body, but it does not penetrate your skin. Infrared sauna treatments produce heat through a penetrating wavelength that can enter your body's soft tissue and deliver benefits on a cellular level. For this reason, infrared saunas are not as hot as traditional dry saunas yet provide more benefits because of the penetrating infrared wavelengths.

The infrared, radiant heat from our infrared saunas deeply penetrates achy joints, tired muscles, and frayed connective tissues, thus helping you recover faster, breathe easier, and enjoy a beautiful glow. Similar to the sun's warm rays stimulating the flow of oxygen and healthy heart rate, our saunas offer the healthy penetrating wavelength in the comfort of your own private sauna suite. The Infrared Sauna Experience
  • You’ll be escorted to your private sauna suite. A trained associate will turn on the Infrared Sauna, select the time and temperature.  

  • Clients usually remove their clothes to allow their skin to soak up the maximum amount of light during their session. You can then relax in privacy while you sweat and relax for the next 30-45 minutes.

  • Sweating is a healthy process that helps the body detoxify from the many harmful free radicals and heavy metals that have negative long-term effects on human health. After your session is over, you’ll want to change into loose clothing that’s breathable, because you may continue sweating for some time after you leave your session.

  • It is important to drink plenty of water before and after your session.

  • After your appointment, you may feel relaxed and experience a boost in your mood.
